Crate
Management & Preparation CRATE MANAGEMENT needs careful handling if costly extended hire periods are to be avoided. If not strictly controlled,
crates can also become easily lost, it is important that all empty
crates should be held in secure areas when unattended.
Each department will have crates supplied against a unique order number and a detailed record kept of all deliveries and collections. A full audit
trail is therefore available at all times throughout the relocation programme.
Crates should be counted in and counted out and a signature obtained from the driver. Our documentation is designed for this purpose. Part of our service is to advise your department representatives of the procedure and their responsibilities.
Our delivery staff will place the crates in the designated area on each floor. If required we can provide additional portage staff to place them by each desk.
All crates have integral lids and should only be filled to the level indicated so the lid can be closed. For sensitive material we can provide special plastic or numbered metal security seals to make them tamper proof.
Client personnel normally have the task of packing and unpacking their own personal effects into host cabinets and desk. We can provide skilled packers to carry out this task, and so free up your own staff to attend to running the business.
