Building,
Staff & Visitor Protection PROTECTING the fabric of your buildings along with staff and visitors whilst the move is being carried out are essential elements of any successful business move.
Protection material will be applied to both origin and destination buildings as appropriate. From the
point of ingress to the point where distribution from the main walkways negates the
benefit gained.
Generally floor protection consists of industrial matting to help keep out dirt and dust. Korex or Hardboard sheeting is used to cover carpeted areas. In the case of marble or similar areas a cushioned intermediate material is also applied.
Vertical surfaces such as walls, lifts, screens, glass panels, stairways etc. are covered with padded paper blankets or Korex. This is a lightweight cellular plastic material and is kept in place by the use of low adhesion tape.
Doors and frames are protected using ballistic nylon padded protectors, using spring clips and Velcro straps. This safe and secure method allows full usage of the doorway at all times.
Staff and visitor protection is maintained throughout the move process using
appropriates signage, cordoned off work areas, barriers and, on the more complex moves, published Health & Safety instructions.
