Information Technology & Data comms

DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING of data now means that moving a network and all the desktop computers that go with it, is not an easy task. It carries high risk and demands very careful planning and implementation. If not handled correctly it can stop your business without warning.

To ensure we move your network infrastructure correctly, a detailed analysis will be carried out. Key stages will be identified, critical path programmes and timetable schedules agreed. Nothing is left to chance.

Moving computers is more than having staff ‘shut them down’ and putting them into cartons or crates. Often there are special servers, communication devices that drive the network. Turn these off in the wrong sequence and serious damage to your system can be caused.

After de-commissioning, we will individually label every item. Anti-static bubble wrap sleeves provide extra protection prior to placing into Techno-Cartons or Computer Crates. Dedicated transport is frequently used to transfer the items to the new site.

Re-commissioning in the new building ensures that all equipment is unwrapped and placed on the appropriate desk. Once installed to the network, your equipment will be powered up and tested to ensure that it works correctly. Printed audit check sheets confirm that a satisfactory move has taken place.

However large or small the network we understand the technology and have the support infrastructure available to offer total ‘peace of mind’.
