Ryans Move International was established in 1978 in Paddington, West London when Chris Ryan purchased the assets of Humphrey’s Removal and Blakes Moving & Storage. The 2 companies had been trading since 1890's and had excellent reputation, but we were sure there was an opportunity to modernise and expand this business.

In 1985, Ryans Move international joined the British Association of removal and F.E.D.M.A.C (European Movers Association) and began weekly service to Ireland and Europe. We also set up a commercial moving division to deal with office relocations.

In 1997, Ryans Move international joined the Britannia Movers international consortium and started trading as Britannia Ryans. This means we are part of the largest moving worldwide shipping group in UK with over a thousand staff and 400 specialised vehicle to call on. The group has a combined turnover in excess 100 million pounds annually.

In 2001, Britannia Ryans were accredited with British Quality Standards BSEN12522 and joined (E.M.G) European Moving Group and we set up office in Dublin and Paris. We have recently been awarded Kitemark for our quality and service.

Britannia Ryans continues to grow by acquisition and referrals and regularly come out on top of the other 44 Britannia branches with regards to Quality Performance and Sales Performance Awards.
